Managing patients with comorbidities related to increased age including; ischaemic heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, dementia, malabsorption, and medications is complex and requires specific advice training and support. Management of these patients is often complicated by mobility and carer problems in combination of high expectations of their family.

The Dental team is not provided with suitable training or support (for example electronic patient records) thus we need to cognoscente of the risks and have specific strategies to minimise them for us and our patients. This presentation provides an overview of these challenges and strategies on how to manage such patients.
